Why Did I Start This Project?

Our founder, Tess Eggeson, tells the story — through pictures — about how and why she set out to start this project.

I have been playing guitar and singing for eight years. Performing and sharing music brings me a lot of joy.

I wanted to share that joy with others and also figure out how to contribute to my community in a new way.

I think when you are teaching someone music, it is a gateway to understanding more about them. Through this practice, you start to understand what makes people nervous, excited, and hopeful.
